right hand bat, right arm fairly rapid bowler and remarkable wicket
keeper.
‘Ash’ played rugby and hockey for the East of England
U-18’s and was the youngest person to play for Cambridgeshire
before going to Essex C.C.C. in 1995. took a first class hat trick
at Colchester in 1996.
Plays every sport well and reminds me of Beefy Botham in his outlook
on life – Play your hardest with an overwhelming sense of
humour. A marvellous mortal.
